FIFTH SEAL CHURCHES

The local church is the hub of the New Covenant’s mission wheel called to advance the purposes of God from our neighborhoods to the final frontiers of the Great Commission.

MARKED BY LOVE

Fifth Seal House Churches

The churches we read about in the Bible never gathered around buildings, budgets, brands, or commercialized marketing strategies. Instead, they gathered around the person and work of Jesus Christ within church member’s homes. Within the context of deeply committed and holy relationships, the early church collectively committed to pray and fully obey all the commands of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Together, they lived in simple, intimate, love-saturated communities. These communities were led by Christ-called and qualified leaders of strong character (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1:5-16). A simple Christ-ordained apostolic framework for the ekklesia not only held these communities together, but in the power of God, multiplied them exponentially throughout the known world and far beyond. Anyone the Holy Spirit had set apart was able to step into the work of church planting due to the simplicity of the biblical expression.

In light of the authority of the scriptures, the church/ekklesia is not presented as something we do or a building we attend on Sundays, but rather as who we are in a committed expression of gathered citizen sons and daughters.

The ekklesia — a ransomed people, purchased with Christ’s own blood, sealed by His indwelling, a holy family forged by blood and fire from every nation on earth. We have been made citizens of the eternal Kingdom and predestined to decree Christ’s rule over all nations. In the ekklesia we are given a new family, renewed identity, eternal purpose, high calling and costly commission. In this we are called out of the world – its systems, values and vanishing vanities – and adopted into the family of God under the supreme leadership of Jesus Christ. In the ekklesia we come under and participate in extending the preeminent governmental rule of Christ’s Kingdom to all nations.

The church expresses itself within committed communities of biblically organized disciples, gathered as God’s family into the person, presence and purposes of Jesus Christ.

The ekklesia as revealed in the scriptures is simple, biblically organized, and powerfully effective in accomplishing Jesus’ global mission. The first expression of Jesus’ ekklesia as seen in Acts 2:42-47, Acts 11:19-30 and Acts 13:1-3 has the ability to love and obey Jesus in all nations and cultures – no matter how open or hostile they may be to the Gospel. These committed Christ-exalting families of disciples have the ability to transcend all times, cultures, communities and nations, maturing to multiplication in the rhythms of everyday life. Simple, biblically organized communities of love motived disciple making disciples are unstoppable.

We are committed to equipping those Christ has called into the Fifth Seal Family of Nations to establish new churches that are unashamedly biblical, irreducibly simple, easily reproducible and unquestionably effective in obeying the commands of Christ.

Has the Holy Spirit set you apart to plant a Christ exalting community where Jesus is the only rockstar and everyone has a seat at the family table (Acts 20:28)?
