TEACH US TO PRAY

We equip those called to start dedicated prayer meetings consisting of living stones gathered in living rooms across the nations contending for the promises of God.

Samuel Zwemer said it best, “The history of missions is the history of answered prayer. All human means are secondary.” With this in mind, we labor in Holy Spirit inspired prayer to pull down strongholds, display the manifold wisdom of God through Christ Jesus to rulers and authorities in high places (Eph. 3:10), and open new roads for the Gospel to advance (2 Corinthians 10:4) within our cities. The mission of God moves forward in power through sustained prayer and fervent intercession when it is coupled with obedience to God’s word and directives of the Holy Spirit.

God’s house is one constructed of people being built together into a dwelling place for God. Each living stone is crafted and assembled by Christ, and set in biblical order to bring Jesus glory through obeying all of His commands. In light of the New Covenant as recorded in Acts 15:13-17, as well as undergirding texts from the Old in Amos 9:11-12, and Isaiah 56:6-8 we understand the House of Prayer for all nations to be the ekklesia of Christ. A praying people who intimately know their God, are adopted into His family, dwell within His “house” of living stones. God’s family who dwell in their Father’s house are about His purposes – they are in full prayerful pursuit of the full numbers from all nations – from every tribe, nation, and tongue. The restoration of David’s Tent as recorded in the New Testament is apostolic, or missionary, to its core (Acts 15:13-17). It has been since day one, as illustrated by the first song King David commissioned in the tent where the ark was placed (1 Chronicles 16:23-31).

Because of Christ’s obedience on the cross, God moved his dwelling place on earth out of the Old Covenant’s holy of holies (a room in a building) and into the New Covenant’s holy of holies – the heart of His people. God’s people are made holy by grace, through putting their faith in Jesus Christ and obeying Him as Lord. God’s holy people are the dwelling place of His presence on Earth (Eph. 2:22).

Jesus, the Master Builder, is building His House of Prayer for all nations, in all places and through all redeemed peoples to display the glory of His own holy name, ushering in the great harvest of nations and His second coming (Genesis 12:3, Psalm 66:4, Habakkuk 2:14, Isaiah 6:3, Ezekiel 43:2, Malachi 1:11, Matthew 24:14, Revelation 5:9).
